Jsem vždycky rád, když se lidé nezištně podělí. Tentokráte se podělil Chuck Connell se svým nástrojem pro sledování projektů. Celkem oblíbená záležitost, na kterou lidé neustále hledají nějaká udělátka. Proč nezkusit i toto?

Time to time you must laugh. Or be afraid? When Microsoft introduced Exchange he call him „Lotus Notes Killer application“, which still isn’t true, hopefully. So Microsoft trying another turn, with MS Word (just Czech edition, sorry). When you try to write Sametime in Word, you will get the word „zametáme“, which means sweeping. Funny behavior.

Čas od času se člověk musí zasmát. Nebo spíš se bát? Když Microsoft uvedl Exchange tak ho prohlásil jako Lotus Notes Killer aplikaci, což se naštěstí dodnes nepovedlo. A tak se Microsoft snaží dál, tentokráte za pomoci MS Word. Ostatně zkuste si v českém Wordu napsat slůvko Sametime a uvidíte, jak s vámi Word zamete (pokud tedy máte zapnuté automatické opravy) :))

Paul Mooney a Bill Buchan uvedli na svět novou stránku – TheWorstPractices.com. Zatím je tam pouze pár nejhorších tipů (spíše zkušeností) pro administrátory i vývojáře, ale třeba se to časem bude rozvíjet. I z těch, které tam jsou, se člověk ovšem dokáže poučit. Například spouštění antiviru na Domino serveru, nebo procházení všech dokumentů v databázi bez využití pohledu. No proč ne, v testech to určitě všechno funguje, problém dělají až ty velké databáze 🙂
Crash of LN client when viewing attachment
When I heard description of this problem for first time, I thinking that the guy make me laughing – LN client version 7 will fall down when opening attachment for viewing (if you open it in external application it’s OK). It was little complicated by fact, that the client was running on Terminal server, but I think it should appear on normal computer as well.
And where was the cause? Of course – access right. Client need to open file keyview.ini in directory C:Program FilesLotusNotesMuiCs (just for Czech version, otherwise it’s in LN program folder) for writing and almost at its end fill in the entry Home=. Just add the write access to this file or put in something intelligent and everything is fine. All of this you can guess from Technote 1223782.
