Les 3 Vallees

Les 3 Vallees, France - probably one of the biggest ski resort in Europe. Also first time I had been in France. And I was really surprised. I known that this ski resort is really big, that there are long slopes and that the accommodation is really modest.

But I was surprised with the quality of snow and with the amount of snow. Yes, this year is really bad with snow, but all peoples we had been there with, were surprised how much of snow was there. And from my point of view - there was no snow. Strange. Also the quality was terrible - maybe I know better snow at the end of March, when we were skiing in middle of "spring", but in January? Just the sunny weather was great - I liked it.

Well, right now I know skiing in Austria, Italy, Switzerland and France. Austria - great family atmosphere, wonderful skiing between trees (and you don't need to ski offslopes). Italy - it's especially fine for families - wide slopes, but almost without forests. Switzerland - I like it, freeride, lot of snow, great food. And France - long, long slopes. Why is this winter that bad?
